As many as 50 teams are in the tournament, located in Gateway Plaza between Progressive Field and Quicken Loans Arena. The event — many of you know cornhole either as Bags or beanbag toss — is a who’s who of medical prowess and the best athletic talent you can hope to muster from a healthcare industry: insurance companies like Medical Mutual and Kaiser Permanente; hospitals including University Hospitals Case Medical Center and EMH Regional Healthcare; businesses like Cleveland Medical Devices, OrthoHelix Surgical Designs and NDI Medical; medical schools such as Case Western Reserve University and Northeast Ohio Medical University; as well as groups like BioEnterprise, the Austen BioInnovation Institute in Akron and the Ohio Hospital Association.
