A surgical center in St. Cloud, Minnesota, is raising more than $7.3 million, according to a regulatory filing.
St. Cloud Surgical Center, an affiliate of Surgical Care Affiliates in Alabama, offers primarily same-day procedures in orthopedics, vascular surgery, urology and plastic surgery, among others. Officials from Surgical Care Affiliates declined to say how the money would be used.
Surgical Care Affiliates is considered an increasingly strong force in the area of physician-hospital joint ventures. Becker’s Hospital Review called the company one of 56 to watch in 2011.
