Health IT vendor MedeAnalytics surveyed 1,004 attendees at HIMSS15 on five questions:
- When will the healthcare industry achieve value-based care?
- What are your biggest pain points related to interoperability?
- What is the top area of innovation at HIMSS this year?
- What kinds of personal health data tools do you use?
- What jargon are you hearing at HIMSS?
This infographic shows the unscientific results of the first four questions. Keep in mind that people at a health IT show are far more likely to use a personal health record or wearable tracking device than members of the general public, and that those wearable devices probably weren’t doing a whole lot more than just measuring steps taken in the massive exhibit hall.
The Hidden Administrative Tasks Draining Small Practices
Small practices play a critical role in healthcare delivery, but they cannot continue to absorb ever-increasing administrative demands without consequences.
For the jargon question, MedeAnalytics created this word cloud. (Curiously, “pain points” didn’t make the cut, but Starbucks did. Also curiously, analytics was prominent in a survey from an analytics vendor.)
Were there any other buzzwords you would like to add?
