Multiple digital health products from Qardio, a digital health company based in San Francisco, California, have been integrated onto Tactio Health Group’s digital platform.

Qardio‘s products include QardioArm, a smart blood pressure monitor; QardioBase, a wireless scale and body analyzer; and QardioCore, a wireless ECG monitor. All three will be integrated onto Tactio’s platform.

Tactio Health Group is a Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based organization that developed numerous mobile health apps. Tactio’s mHealth tracking solutions focus on everything from corporate wellness to remote chronic disease management.

Through the collaboration, Tactio enterprise clients can integrate Qardio data into their patients’ health records. Additionally, TactioHealth app users will be able to sync the data from Qardio devices onto their Tactio app.

Qardio’s products will also be integrated with Tactio’s remote patient monitoring platform, TactioRPM.

Qardio’s vice president of global outreach, Martina Janeckova, said the collaboration will help make Qardio’s products available to more users. “Our integration with Tactio is a special way that Tactio offers solutions to both end users and enterprise clients, making it easier for both patients and their healthcare providers to make the best use of the data Qardio devices collect,” she said in an email to MedCity.

In a statement, Tactio Founder and CEO Michel Nadeau said:

At Tactio we’ve spent countless hours designing, building and maintaining a complete system for patients to enjoy, take ownership of their health condition and start living in a new relationship and access paradigm with the healthcare world around them. Today, we’re glad to team up with Qardio and their innovative health monitoring devices that fit the modern lifestyle. Working together, we are proud to make a difference as we’re committed to transforming the patient journey making them digital, mobile and connected.

The integration means different things for providers and patients. “For providers, this partnership means fast, easy integrations with Qardio’s platform,” Janeckova said. “Innovative technologies, such as those Qardio builds, have been of great interest lately to [a] variety of players in the healthcare industry, as the focus on improving patients’ outcomes while reducing costs is growing.”

Patients will be able to glean more insight and useful information on their health. “This is all about making the data from the measurement taken with Qardio devices even more valuable for our users,” Janeckova said.

Looking forward, Janeckova said Qardio hopes to improve healthcare for both patients and providers. “Through the cooperation with Tactio we hope to add to the list of happier, healthier patients and their doctors and providers and continue the fights against heart disease on a larger scale,” she said.
