How are healthcare organizations and startups approaching population health?

INVEST Pop Health, a collaboration between MedCity News and the New Orleans Business Alliance, will highlight the efforts underway to transform population health and will take place on May 22 at the Louisiana Cancer Research Consortium in New Orleans.

New Orleans will be the scene of a conference that seeks to address how population health tools are being used to address chronic conditions such as heart disease and diabetes.

A collaboration between MedCity News and the New Orleans Business Alliance, MedCity INVEST Pop Health is a must-see event that will include conversations on initiatives around social determinants to improve outcomes for chronic conditions and payment reform to address chronic conditions. It will take place on May 22 at the Louisiana Cancer Research Consortium. Click here to register.

Among the speakers scheduled to take part in the conference are Dr. Jennifer Avegno, the Director of the New Orleans Department of Health, and Binoy Bhansali, the vice president of Sandbox Industries — the exclusive provider of investment management services to BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners.

Healthcare startups will also have a prominent place in the conversation, as they do at every MedCity News event. Digital health, health service, biotech, diagnostic, and medical device entrepreneurs are invited to apply to speak as part of a showcase on how these companies are working to help people with chronic conditions or developing population health tools.

The companies selected to participate will not only be able to highlight their approaches to these healthcare challenges but will also have the opportunity to answer questions from a panel of investor judges. Based on their presentation and an audience poll, one of these startups will be named 2019 INVEST Population Health Leader. The deadline for applications is March 15. Click here to apply today!
