In this last episode of Season 3 of the MedCity Pivot Podcast — focused on Transforming the Life Sciences — we take a look at the field of rare diseases. In the episode, we meet Rich Horgan, whose younger brother, Terry was diagnosed with an ultra-rare version of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Horgan, who embarked on a journey to save his brother ended up creating Cure Rare Disease, a nonprofit biotech that is currently trying to forge an alternative path to commercializing drugs for the rare disease market.
