The Product
The platform that targets pediatric and adult patients across a range of respiratory illnesses, includes wireless medication inhaler sensors, a FDA-cleared mSpirometer, and access to mobile apps/web portals to support robust patient monitoring. Cohero Health’s Mobile Spirometer offers clinical-grade lung function measurement, remotely tracking FEV1, FVC and peak flow volumes and the quality of medication administered. The platform is designed to predict and prevent adverse events, evaluate medication efficacy on the individual patient and population level, and track exactly how much medication was administered by patient.

The Impact
The company conducted a clinical study at Mount Sinai Health system that demonstrated a 2.5 times increase in adherence over standard of care, and a dramatic reduction in acute exacerbation and in-patient stays.

The Cohero Health platform has demonstrated annual cost savings of approximately $4,000 per patient, due to a reduction in acute events (emergency room visits and inpatient stays). It is also driving an additional $800 in annual revenue per patient per year for pharmaceutical brands based on measurably improved medication adherence.
