Check out the companies in Dreamit’s spring 2019 HealthTech program

The seven startups are located across the United States and zero in on everything from physician notes to medical education to hand hygiene compliance.

Dreamit Ventures has selected seven organizations for the spring 2019 cohort of its HealthTech program, which focuses on digital health, medical device and diagnostic startups.

The companies, which are located across the United States, zero in on everything from physician notes to medical education to hand hygiene compliance. Here are the seven that made the cut.

AMOpportunities has a web-based platform that lets U.S. medical education programs offer on-demand clinical rotation opportunities — like clerkships, observerships and externships — to international medical students. The Chicago-based company’s tool can vet credentials and process payments.

Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Digitize.AI offers artificial intelligence solutions. Its tool for providers enables faster prior authorizations, while its tool for health plans works on faster utilization management.

EnsoData‘s software, EnsoSleep, lets sleep centers and neurology labs automatically review and score waveform data with the goal of decreasing processing time and increasing revenue. The company is based in Madison, Wisconsin.

Miami, Florida-based Intelligent Observation helps hospitals monitor hand hygiene compliance. Its offerings include a fully integrated personal smart badge and location-aware reader.

SimpleTherapy is a Freemont, California-based company focused on helping patients overcome musculoskeletal pain. Its solution combines professionally guided physical therapy and machine learning. Individuals can use SimpleTherapy’s platform, and employers and health plans can leverage it to help their employees or members.

Sopris Health in Denver, Colorado, has an application that can quickly create physician notes between patient exams. The tool harnesses voice recognition and artificial intelligence and can integrate with existing EHR platforms. The goals are to reduce physician burnout and improve the patient-provider experience.

San Francisco, California-based Tag.bio has a data science platform that helps doctors and scientists perform complex and reproducible data analyses faster. The tool was conceived by a former computational biologist at the UCSF Cancer Center.

Looking back at past Dreamit companies, the startups in the fall 2018 HealthTech cohort tackled issues like chronic pain, risk reporting and imaging. Participants included Agathos, ImageMoverMD (which recently secured $4 million in funding) and Sana, among others.
