I worked in banking for ten years at Lloyds, Rabobank and Nikko Securities before becoming a journalist in 2001. I started at Financial News, now part of the WSJ Europe, in London before moving to New York in 2005 to become their U.S. Correspondent. I returned to the UK in 2013 and became a freelance journalist and have written for publications including Markets Media, Bloomberg Enterprise and Citywire. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College and am currently studying for an English Literature degree with the Open University.
